Vecchie Terre di Montefili - winery in Panzano in Chianti

Vecchie Terre di Montefili is a boutique winery that lies high upon the valley of Panzano. It was one of the first wineries to break away from the old Chianti red grape & white grape blend traditions and to take the Chianti Classico to a superior level. Proving also those old vineyards in Chianti Classico can produce fantastic fruit, their cru Anfiteatro soon became the flagship wine of the winery and a well known Super Tuscan wine. Today the winery is one of the most well regarded for the high quality of production, being at the same time part of the organic producers of Panzano in Chianti. Visits are lovely in this old estate together with a tasting of the fantastic wines. Old vintages are available for purchase, which is quite a rarity in Chianti.
