San Polino - winery in Montalcino

This is without a doubt a favourite in Montalcino. It's run by a lovely Anglo-Italian couple, Katia and Gigi, who with great humility and perseverance have worked their way to achieving some of Montalcino's finest wines.  The philosophy is an organic approach to both growing Sangiovese grapes and to the winemaking which is done with great technical attention and talent in the cellars under the family house.  Hospitality is wonderful, the setting is close to heavenly and the wines are divine, however, due to the small size, it is only possible to visit occasionally so let us know if this is a place for you and we'll do our best to get us an appointment!
