Nittardi - winery in Castellina in Chianti
CHIANTI CLASSICO
The Nittardi property used to be in the family of Michelangelo who whilst painting the sixteenth chapel in Rome had wine shipped from the family's farm. Today a well-established winery, it's lying on the Southern hills of Castellina in Chianti and overlooks the beautiful Panzano village. The property has changed hands over the centuries and very appropriately landed in the hands of art lovers who have turned the winery into one of the artsiest in the region. Each year a new artistic label is created by a different artist. And furthermore, the property is dotted with small and large art pieces of all sorts giving the winery a real connubial feel between art and wine.
