Montebernardi - winery in Panzano in Chianti

​Michael Schmelzer is the winemaker of this small property on the Southern end of Panzano, the belly button of the Chianti Classico region. He was responsible for converting the winery into a biodynamic farm and is now one of the front spokespeople for this farming practice in Panzano. Michael personally oversees the winemaking with extreme care and technical knowledge. The wines are very clean and elegant. Make sure to taste the Chianti Classico Riserva Saetta and the Tzingana (Bordeaux blend). The ambiance is very friendly and English is no problem here!
