Massimo Romeo - winery in Montepulciano

Massimo Romeo loves his land and the wines produced from it. Surprisingly few wineries have gone down the organic road in Montepulciano, but for Massimo, there was no doubt about it. He knows Montepulciano's wines better than anyone else in the area and used to be president of the Consorzio. He makes some of the area's best wines from the small estate on a small hill around which he has planted the vineyards. The estate is definitely what I would call cute and idyllic and is really worth visiting. The wines are absolutely divine as well and the production quite low so if you are looking for some special wine to take home, this could be it!
