La Sala - winery in San Casciano

This marvelous little winery has come back to life with the new ownership and the two local brothers Ovidio and Lorenzo who brilliantly have taken the lead in making excellent wines with great enthusiasm. Firstly, the grape growing is done completely organically respecting the differences that each plot will give to the crop. Ovidio who is the oldest brother and the winemaker will then take the very best grapes and craft them into the 3 levels of Chianti Classico that are all made at the winery. The newest Gran Selezione is proof of his craftmanship and as the result is very promising it’ll be interesting to see how it develops in time.
