La Massa - winery in Panzano in Chianti

Giampaolo Motta is the proud leader of a strong team of passionate wine technicians. After producing the traditional Chianti Classico style during the first decade, he abandoned the traditional recipe to produce wines of an extremely high level, simply following his heart and the science that allows him to analyze all aspects of production...from the soil to weather, to controlling the winemaking in the most effective way. Inspired by the top Chateaux of Bordeaux, the result is an incredibly high level of wines for the area. All 3 wines produced have deliberately been put into the IGT level - which in Tuscany can be of very high level and is popularly called Super Tuscans by the fans.
