Baricci - winery in Montalcino

Baricci were among the first bottlers in Montalcino after the creation of the DOCG and this is the family name that is now running on the third generation. Federico & Francesco are running the winery with great commitment and sense for tradition. They work alongside their father who has transmitted the tradition of a small family winery in Montalcino, and they are now adding their own touch of a new generation to the styles of wines produced. There are just 3 labels made, and they are not always available because the production is so limited (and so good!). You normally find the Rosso, the Brunello vintage and the Brunello Riserva. All are made from their own organically grown grapes inside the Montosoli cru on the north side of Montalcino.
