The winery:
Poggio al Sole lies on the western side of Chianti Classico and is a small farm that works to produce very high quality wines. It's run by two generations of the Davaz famiily who originally came from Switzerland and fell in love with the little sunny hillside and turned the winery into the great organic farm that it is today.
 
The wine:
This Chianti Classico is very clean and modern in style, made from 90% Sangiovese, 5% Merlot and 5% Canaiolo. It is ready to drink now because of all the fruit aromas but will hold well for a few more years.
